If you are interested in the story of Florence, I suggest to you to visit the ancient walls. We did this tour with a guide on Saturday and it was very interesting. Some words about. The wall that you can see now, are the rest of the wall built in the XIII century that was the third circle of the wall (the first was built by Romans, second by the cities but there aren't now). We started walking from Porta Romana, arriving after 1 hour at the Arno river.
